Develop and Implement R Language Training Programs

We are seeking an experienced Statistical Programming Trainer to develop and implement comprehensive R language training programs for our permanent SAS programming workforce. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement R language training programs for our Statistical Programming and Biometric teams.
  • Create engaging materials, including presentations, hands-on exercises, and assessments to facilitate learning.
  • Deliver dynamic training sessions for large groups of programmers.
  • Provide guidance and support to programmers transitioning from SAS to R.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop processes and best practices for using R.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in R programming and its applications within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Enhance training programs and processes through continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the Point of Contact for internal programming user groups, capturing various training needs across programming groups.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (advanced degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of 10 years in statistical programming for clinical studies using SAS.
  • Minimum of 5 years using R for statistical programming in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven experience creating Clinical Study Reports (CSRs) and regulatory submissions using SAS.
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial data structures, CDISC standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience developing and delivering training programs to large groups.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field.
  • Experience managing and mentoring statistical programmers.
  • Familiarity with programming languages like Python or SQL.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
  • Familiarity with Statistical Computing Environments.
