Job Overview

Market 36 Recruitment is seeking a part-time Financial Operations Assistant to support the account department of our client, based near Kelvedon. This role involves maintaining and supporting the financial foundation of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Record Cost of Sales invoices accurately, ensuring alignment with purchase orders and serial numbers.
  2. Input Overhead invoices into SAGE, categorizing them correctly under appropriate nominal codes.
  3. Process Sales invoices and forward them to clients promptly.
  4. Handle supplier invoices efficiently, ensuring accurate processing.
  5. Take responsibility for daily processing of approved staff expenses, adhering to the expenses policy.
  6. Prepare payment schedules for approval and execute supplier invoice payments on a weekly basis.
  7. Assist with general accounts tasks, including credit control as needed.
  8. Maintain and update administrative systems to foster efficient housekeeping.
Requirements
  1. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  2. Highly experienced in SAGE software.
  3. Strong grasp of double-entry bookkeeping principles.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. AAT Level 3 qualification.
  6. Familiarity with GDPR regulations and relevant legislation.
  7. Strong credit control experience.

The working hours are Monday - Friday, 22.5 hours a week (4.5 hours per day). This is a remote working position with one day in the office once a month.

We offer a competitive salary of up to £28,000 (part-time equivalent: £16,800).
