About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Schoen Clinic York. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with their recovery from eating disorders and associated co-morbidities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist nursing staff in implementing care plans for patients, working within an awareness of NICE guidelines.
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with patients, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Undertake regular physical observations of patients, providing feedback on their level of risk.
  • Liaise with staff nurses, occupational therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Report any concerns or issues to staff nurses, maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Requirements

  • A good standard of education, ideally NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain professional boundaries.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, with a commitment to continuous learning and development.
