Fawkes and Reece is seeking a highly skilled Norwich Substation Extension Lead to lead the Norwich Substation extension project. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale projects, with a proven track record of delivering results on time, within budget, and to specification.

The role involves managing two projects: a Grid Park connecting three new customers via a 33kV / 400kV transformer, and extending the 400kV substation to accommodate an additional eight bays. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities include:

  • Project Management: Ensure the Norwich Substation extension is delivered to time, cost, and specification.
  • Nominated NEC Project Manager: Act as the nominated NEC Project Manager for the Main Works Contract.
  • Lead Governance and Development: Lead the internal governance and project development processes.
  • Health & Safety and Compliance: Ensure internal and contractor compliance with Health & Safety, CDM & Environmental legislation.
  • Client's Delegated Representative: Act as the Client's Delegated Representative and where appropriate, Principle Designer.
  • Regular Project Status Reports: Provide regular project status reports giving accurate financial forecasting, SHESQ performance, milestone progress & risk management data.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Drive customer satisfaction through positive engagement, working proactively to avoid issues.
  • Third Party Issues: Manage third-party issues, land, consents, and local community stakeholder relationships.
  • Front End Engineering Design: Assess the need and where required scope and manage Front End Engineering Design (FEED) support for emerging scope.
