Job Title: Offender Management Unit Hub Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Offender Management Unit (OMU) as a Hub Manager at HMP Doncaster. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the OMU staff, fostering positive relationships with external agencies, and embracing our rehabilitative culture.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the effective management of OMU staff to meet delivery requirements, including OASys reporting, Sentence Planning, Categorisation, Data Protection, and Release on Temporary Licence processes.
  • Supervise, carry out assurance tests, and ensure consistent and high-quality assessments.
  • Implement new processes and legislative changes, ensuring Business as Usual within the department.
  • Engage, support, train, and motivate OMU staff.
  • Manage individual line management responsibilities, including annual performance reviews and effectively managing performance.

Requirements:

  • A background in working within offenders or in a custodial environment (desirable).
  • Excellent communication skills, including high-level computer literacy.
  • Effective people management skills, with previous experience of managing or supervising a busy office environment.
  • Capable of prioritizing workloads, delegating tasks, and understanding the impact of meeting tight timescales.
  • A motivated individual with the drive and enthusiasm to bring about change and adopt our Rehabilitative culture.
