Job Title: Multiskilled Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at DPDgroup. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our automated equipment across multiple depots in the North East.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to breakdowns and perform extensive fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Complete ad-hoc job requests for repairs on sortation equipment
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on sortation equipment
  • Perform servicing work, including completion of service reports and internal systems
  • Utilize SCADA systems to aid fault finding and troubleshooting
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure maintenance and repair work is completed in line with business and operational requirements
  • Adhere to and promote health and safety policies, including COSHH

Requirements:

  • Recognized engineering, maintenance engineering, or general engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification with an electrical bias
  • Experience in a fast-paced automated environment with demonstrable experience of electrical and mechanical repair
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure
  • High levels of resilience, self-motivation, and flexibility
  • Strong team player with a 'can-do' mentality

  • Full UK driving license required for travel between depots
