Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to join AWC STAFF SERVICES LTD as an Environmental Health and Safety Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising, guiding, and managing site functions on all aspects of health, safety, environmental, and quality issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Advise and guide site functions on health, safety, environmental, and quality issues.
  2. Manage site compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  3. Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize risks and non-compliance.
  4. Work alongside operations on high-risk complex projects.
  5. Review, update, and implement SHEQ policies, procedures, and COSHH register.
  6. Deliver in-house SHEQ training, recruitment induction, client inductions, and prepare TBTs.
  7. Provide support to operations with expert advice on preparing Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  8. Conduct ISO 9001 / 45001 and 14001 audits on a regular basis.
  9. Maintain the SHEQ management system and ensure actions are followed up with relevant managers.
Essential Competencies:
  1. NEBOSH General or Construction Cert minimum.
  2. Good knowledge and application of Health and Safety in the utilities sector / National Grid.
  3. Good computer literacy.
  4. Resilient, organised, professional, accepts responsibility, influencing, building relationships.
