Freelance Interpreter Required for Flexible Hours

We are seeking a skilled freelancer to provide high-quality interpreting services for various settings, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private organisations.

Language Empire, established in 2001, offers professional interpreting and translation services across the UK, covering hundreds of basic languages and dialects. We provide flexible hours with competitive rates and ongoing support from our dedicated team.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Interpreting for people using legal, health, and local government services
  2. Ensuring the non-English speakers understanding after each sentence
  3. Providing conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
  4. Dealing with highly confidential information
  5. Liaising between the service user and service provider

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and another language
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Aged 21 or over
  • Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting or Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
