About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Activity Leader to join our team of dedicated professionals working on our UK-based residential young learner courses this Winter.
As an Activity Leader, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging activities in performing arts, sports, arts and crafts, and large group games and events. You will also be expected to encourage active participation, engagement, and inclusivity in your sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that cater to the diverse interests of our young learners.
- Ensure student attendance and positive behavior during activities and events.
- Lead and supervise study tours, creating a safe and enjoyable offsite learning experience.
- Assist with pastoral duties, such as house meetings and supervising mealtimes.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment.
About You
We are looking for candidates who are:
Responsible - You consistently prioritize the safety and well-being of our young learners and keep safeguarding at the heart of everything you do.
Creative - You bring innovative and fun ideas to make activities enjoyable and educational.
Culturally sensitive - You demonstrate an understanding of cultural differences and ensure an inclusive and respectful environment.
Enthusiastic - You are passionate about working with young people and bring energy and enthusiasm to teamwork.
We are especially interested in hearing from candidates with expertise, coaching experience, or a specialist interest in sports, art and design, cookery, photography, or performing arts.
About Us
Benefits:
Our school in Hertfordshire provides excellent premises and facilities for both staff and students. As a member of our team, you will benefit from:
- Free accommodation and meals.
- Holiday pay (paid on top of salary for any accrued but untaken holiday).
- Company-paid induction upon arrival onsite.
- Company-paid DBS check.
- Regular CPD sessions to enhance your professional development and opportunities for promotion/future work.
- Discount of 50% on a future CELTA course after successful completion of a full summer contract.
Opportunities for future career growth
Working for Bell on our Young Learner courses offers a valuable experience for individuals looking to work with children in the future. You will develop your skills in planning, leadership, communication, teamwork, time management, and youth engagement while making a positive and long-lasting impact on the lives of young people.
Safer Recruitment
Bell is committed to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment:
- A DBS/Police Check will be requested in the event of a successful application (this will be paid for by Bell).
- We do not accept DBS Checks undertaken by other organizations (unless you are on the update service).
- All gaps in CVs must be explained satisfactorily.
- Proof of identity and qualifications will be required.
- All references will be followed up and reference requests will ask specifically whether there is any reason you should not be engaged in situations where you have responsibility for, or substantial access to, persons under 18.
