Job Title: Paediatric Haemoglobinopathy Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Children's Registered Nurse to join our team at the Royal Stoke Hospital as a Band 6 Children's Haemoglobinopathy Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work in the Child Health Directorate with clinicians to provide an effective service for children and young people with Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia.
  • Develop and deliver innovative and evidence-based practice through professional leadership, supporting the clinical team to develop the specialist area of care.
Requirements:
  • Current Children's Nursing Registration: RSCN/RN-Child
  • Degree Level Nursing/Health related studies
  • Clinical Health Assessment Skills Qualification
  • Mentorship or equivalent
Key Skills and Qualities:
  • Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience
  • Ability to prioritise workload in response to service need
  • Ability to work autonomously and be accountable for own actions
  • Ability to develop medium and long-term plans to meet service need and ensure sustainability
