We are seeking a skilled PLC Software Engineer to join our team at Samuel Frank Associates. As a PLC Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing software for industrial automation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret customer and regulatory requirements to ensure software designs meet specifications.
- Maintain high design quality throughout projects.
- Communicate project status to stakeholders, including internal and external customers and suppliers.
- Conduct assessments and generate technical documents to support compliance with British and international standards.
- Develop PLC software using Siemens or Rockwell systems, leading a small team of PLC Software Engineers.
- Produce high-quality Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and FAT documentation.
- Network common automation hardware, including EtherNET/IP, ProfiNET, Profibus, and Modbus.
- Apply machine safety knowledge to ensure safe system operation.
Working Conditions:
The role is office-based, with a 39-hour working week and a flexible/core hours system.
