About the Role

The Parks and Grounds Service at North Yorkshire Council is seeking a skilled Horticulture Development Officer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the management and improvement of community assets within our parks and open spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate quality assessments of sites and record keeping in terms of Planning Policy and allocation of S106 Commuted Sums.
  • Coordinate improvement projects on our assets and open spaces.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver the Council's ambition to be the most local, largest council in England.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal skills, with computer skills using specialist software as well as Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal office hours and travel across North Yorkshire.
