Role Overview

Roan Edge Quarry, near Kendal in Cumbria, is a key location in one of the UK's most stunning regions. The quarry is perfectly positioned to serve the local construction industry, offering a blend of historic charm and vibrant culture. The surrounding Lake District National Park offers breathtaking landscapes, including serene lakes, towering mountains, and lush valleys. Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain quarry machinery and equipment to ensure efficient extraction and processing of materials.
  • Ensure quality control of materials and adherence to safety protocols to maintain a safe and respectful work environment.
  • Load materials, manage supplies, and maintain cleanliness of the site to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Act as a responsible person on site in the manager's absence to ensure continuity of operations.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach to resolving issues.
