Role Overview:
Our Roan Edge Quarry, located near Kendal in Cumbria, is situated in one of the UK's most stunning regions. Kendal, known as the "Gateway to the Lake District," offers a blend of historic charm and vibrant culture. Just a short drive away, the Lake District National Park awaits with its breathtaking landscapes, including serene lakes, towering mountains, and lush valleys. We are currently seeking a motivated Quarry Operative to join our team. This role is key to our operations, ensuring the efficient extraction and processing of materials. As part of our dynamic team, you'll contribute to the production of essential construction materials that build communities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain quarry machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure quality control of materials and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Load materials, manage supplies, and maintain cleanliness of the site.
  • Act as a responsible person on site in the manager's absence.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role within the construction materials industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
