We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Achieving for Children. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, stimulating, and enjoyable environment for children and young people with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children with disabilities in their daily activities, promoting independence and confidence.
- Assist with personal care, feeding, and mobility needs, ensuring the highest level of dignity and respect.
- Engage children in play and leisure activities, promoting social skills and emotional well-being.
- Work collaboratively with the group leader and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective team approach.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, documenting progress and any concerns.
About You
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting children and young people with disabilities. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Requirements
- Experience working with children and young people with disabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Basic knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
