Job Overview

About the Role

You will play a crucial part in optimising oral therapy, conducting point-of-care testing, and referring patients for specialist insulin treatment when necessary. Your commitment to delivering exceptional care will contribute to improved health outcomes for individuals with Type 2 diabetes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide education, support, and advice to people with Type 2 Diabetes
  • Optimise oral hypoglycaemics through knowledge and expertise
  • Identify sub-optimally controlled patients and implement targeted interventions
Requirements
  • Diabetes diploma or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of 3 years experience managing diabetes in primary care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Full driving licence
  • Current NMC registration
  • IT literacy in primary care systems
