Grounds Operations Manager

Nexgen Group is seeking an experienced Grounds Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of high-quality grounds services in the London and Home Counties area.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring that the standard of service meets contract specifications and maximizes opportunities for contract retention.
- Lead an operational team, ensuring compliance with all operational KPIs, reviewing activity on all contracts regularly, driving innovation and best practice.
- Purchase and maintain approved equipment/machinery, ensuring that all necessary electrical/mechanical testing is up to date.
- Manage and action client communication, taking preventative and remedial actions as necessary.
- Achieve full contract Profit & Loss (P&L) targets, operating within budgets while developing a process to ensure all potential opportunities to maximize growth are utilized.
- Attend regular client review meetings to present and provide feedback on contract performance.
- Contribute to the recruitment and onboarding of new team members, supporting other departments as needed.
- Support the bid team in responding to RFI's/RFP's and attending client presentations when required.
- Provide reports, costs, proposals, and support for new client mobilizations as needed by the Operations Director.
- At least 5 years' experience in a client delivery role in Grounds/Garden Maintenance.
- A successful track record of achieving customer satisfaction, people management, budget control, specification management, health and safety, and compliance.
- An understanding of management techniques, change management, performance reviews.
- A team player with strong commercial acumen, motivational skills, diplomatic but firm approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Fully qualified Clean Driving License and willingness to undergo a DBS check.
Nexgen Group offers a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
