About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor to join our Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment community mental health team. The successful candidate will provide medical and psychiatric support to Consultant Psychiatrists, working in partnership to deliver high-quality clinical care to patients and carers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality clinical care to patients and carers, working in partnership with Consultant Psychiatrists.
  • Provide medical and psychiatric support to the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment team.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, working collaboratively with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Engage with the development of your Job Plan, ensuring that your work aligns with the team's objectives and priorities.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience at Resident Doctor Training level or above, with a minimum of 2 years in the relevant specialty.
  • Registration with the General Medical Council with a licence to practise.
  • Approval under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act.
  • Experience of working in a community mental health setting, with a focus on crisis resolution and home treatment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
