We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Family Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our residential facility, you will be responsible for managing a defined caseload of families, providing support and guidance throughout the assessment process, and ensuring the safe and efficient running of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in delivering the Centre's objectives and maintaining compliance with National Minimum Standards.
- Oversee the management of a caseload, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Complete weekly summary reports for assigned families and direct staff on key work sessions.
- Liaise with Local Authorities, Guardians, and Independent Social Workers to develop and implement assessment plans.
- Manage the physical, financial, and human resources of the facility effectively, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Participate in the on-call rota, always supporting the smooth operation of the Centre.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive and complex information.
- A warm, sensitive, and non-judgmental approach to working with families.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare & Education or equivalent.
- At least three years of experience working with families and children, including child protection cases.
- Experience in residential settings and supervising staff is highly desirable.
