We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Placement Student to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Accelera Business segment in the UK. During your placement, you will gain valuable experience and skills in the development of Li-ion cell battery technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in teams of engineers and technicians to support the development of Li-ion cell battery technology.
  • Develop an understanding of fundamental FEA approach for battery pack structure analysis, considering strength, fatigue, and durability response.
  • Apply and support the delivery and validation of battery systems performance requirements through virtual analysis.
  • Provide input and negotiation with cross-functional and cross-discipline technical experts and senior-level engineers.
  • Ownership of problem resolution for moderately complex components, products, systems, sub-systems, or services with a greater degree of technical complexity and ambiguity.

Requirements:

  • Working towards a degree in Mechanical/Materials/Automotive/Aviation or Marine engineering.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Office, CAD software, and design.
  • Knowledge of element software or Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a plus.
  • A willingness to challenge the norm and constantly look for improvements.
