Job Title: Sales Ledger Clerk - Financial Data Specialist

Salary Range: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum based in Elland

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sales Ledger Clerk to join our finance team based in Elland. As a Sales Ledger Clerk - Financial Data Specialist, you will be responsible for the overall sales ledger and credit control of the business.

You will work closely with stakeholders and other departments to ensure accurate processing of sales ledger invoices, receipts, and customer statements. Your key responsibilities will include end-to-end processing of sales invoices from income stream data on Sage200, management of key financial contact relationships, and credit control to ensure cash inflows meet contracted terms.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process sales invoices from income stream data on Sage200
  2. Manage key financial contact relationships in respect of sales ledger accounts
  3. Credit control to ensure cash inflows meet contracted terms
  4. Maintain accurate records and perform month-end reconciliation of sales invoices raised
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require a strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel and Outlook. You must also have excellent communication skills, written and spoken, that are effective, empathetic, and adaptable to different situations.

A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential, as is experience of working within a sales (or purchase) ledger function. Knowledge and experience of working with confidential data as defined by GDPR is also necessary.
