About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Therapy Assistant to join our community therapy team at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our community therapy team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out specified interventions and programs under the direct supervision of a qualified clinician.
- Report progress, concerns, and changes of patients during the implementation of planned interventions and programs.
- Work with individuals in various settings appropriate to their needs.
- Keep up-to-date patient records of interventions.
- Know and follow the lone working policy.
- Be responsible for the maintenance, cleaning, monitoring, and loan of equipment, maintaining its security at all times and keeping accurate records as required.
- Order and manage stock control of materials and equipment as required.
- Support administrative and housekeeping duties as required.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent.
- NVQ3 or equivalent in a care-related subject.
Knowledge
- Understanding of the role of a professional.
- Understanding of confidentiality.
Skills
- Evidence of teamwork.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic IT skills.
- Ability to cope with stressful situations.
Experience
- Working in a caring environment or with a patient group.
