Job Title: Personal Care Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and experienced personal care assistant to join our team at Nycil. As a personal care assistant, you will provide high-quality care for a 78-year-old lady with multiple sclerosis and mental health needs.

The role involves all aspects of personal care, including assisting with eating, meal preparation, and medication management. You will work closely with the individual to understand their specific needs and preferences, ensuring that their care is tailored to meet their requirements.

This position requires a caring and empathetic individual who can build strong relationships with clients and their families. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of client care, reporting any concerns or issues promptly, and communicating effectively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Prepare meals and snacks according to dietary requirements
  • Administer medication safely and accurately
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
Requirements:
  • Degree in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience
  • DBS check required (paid for by employer)
  • Experience in moving and handling (1 year preferred), care work (3 years preferred)
What We Offer:
  • Paying £14.30 per hour
  • Variable hours, typically 5-15 per week
  • Day shift schedule
