We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Support Worker at our rehabilitation hospital in Newton Abbott. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive and effective recovery support to individuals with mental health concerns and/or Autism Spectrum Condition.
Key Responsibilities- Provide practice that embodies recovery principles, qualities, values, and standards, supporting individuals to lead and define their recovery and achieve their personal recovery outcomes.
- Ensure recovery relationships and support are provided wherever the individual needs it, understanding that this will always change.
- Demonstrate personal qualities, knowledge, and skills required within a recovery support role, including a commitment to regular supervision, coaching, appraisal, and training.
- Provide and model an approach to recovery in which individuals providing and receiving support can share and reflect on their experiences of recovery and self-management.
- Ensure all communication demonstrates recovery qualities, values, and principles, communicating in an open and sensitive manner at all times.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with charity policy and regulation.
- Follow practice according to the requirements and terms within the CQC Essential Standards, Mental Health Act, and charity policy and procedures.
- Take responsibility for shift leadership in the absence of senior staff, ensuring the registered property is maintained in good order and meets legislative requirements through regular and recorded risk assessment.
- Plan and prioritize personal workload, demonstrating an appropriate balance between service need and wellbeing.
- Follow professional practice guidelines and registration requirements at all times.
- Contribute to the effective delivery of recovery conversations, coaching, and evaluation through trust and network outcome measures.
- Respond to requests for information in a professional and responsible manner within agreed deadlines, improving efficiency by making good use of electronic communications.
