Job Title: Electrical Process Technician

Celanese Corporation is a global leader in the production of differentiated chemistry solutions and specialty materials. We are seeking an Electrical Process Technician to join our team at the Advanced Elastomer Systems (AES) plant in Newport, South Wales.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate extrusion equipment via control room and field-based control systems
  • Respond to breakdowns, perform basic fault finding, and support maintenance and repairs
  • Monitor plant performance and diagnose faults
  • Maximize reliability through executing operator care rounds
  • Work within a shift team to ensure delivery of individual and team responsibilities and objectives
  • Conduct detailed shift handovers
  • Operate a forklift truck (training will be provided)
  • Issue work permits for operations and tanker offloading areas
Requirements:
  • Completion of a recognized Electrical apprenticeship
  • Experience in fault finding using a systematic approach
  • Experience with instrumentation and measurement equipment
  • Experience of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs
  • Experience with SAP and Distributed Control Systems (DeltaV)
  • FLT license
  • Competent working with PLCs
