About the Role

Celanese Corporation is a global leader in the production of differentiated chemistry solutions and specialty materials used in various industries and consumer applications. As a Process Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring production lines operate efficiently to maintain the exceptional quality our customers expect.

Responsibilities

  • Operate extrusion equipment via control room and field-based control systems
  • Respond to breakdowns, perform basic fault finding, and support maintenance and repairs
  • Monitor plant performance and diagnose faults
  • Maximize reliability through operator care rounds
  • Work within a shift team to ensure delivery of individual and team responsibilities and objectives
  • Conduct detailed shift handovers
  • Operate a forklift truck (training will be provided)
  • Issue work permits for operations and tanker offloading areas

Qualifications and Experience

  • Completion of a recognized Electrical apprenticeship
  • Experience in fault finding and systematic approach to resolve issues efficiently
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and measurement equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and pumps, motors, feeders, valves, and actuators
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs
  • Experience with SAP and Distributed Control Systems (DeltaV)
  • FLT license and competence in working with PLCs
