Job Title: Business Analyst

Join Initialize IT as a Business Analyst and contribute to the success of our Shared Information Services department. We are currently in the midst of an exciting ERP system implementation project, and we need a skilled Business Analyst to support this initiative.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Subject Matter Experts to elicit and define business, financial, and operational requirements for project work and 'business as usual' tasks.
  • Conduct interviews or gather user requirements via meetings, questionnaires, or site visits and model the output using workflows, storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods within a detailed specification.
  • Create new process flows for operational procedures, e.g., on-boarding new staff, managing staff moves, provision of user support.
  • Carry out testing (unit, system, regression) and co-ordinate UAT, involving writing detailed use cases, scenarios, and test cases.
  • Participate in or contribute to user support via our global service desk as and when required.
Candidate Specification:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Business Analyst with a minimum of 3 years' solid BA experience. A high level of written English is required, and the ability to hit the ground running and become effective quickly is essential.

Formal Education & Certification:

A university degree or diploma in the field of Business Analysis, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or 3 years' equivalent work experience is required. A BCS Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent is desirable.

Knowledge and Experience:
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modelling, verification, and methodology development.
  • Full software development lifecycle experience.
  • Experience writing and executing test cases.
Personal Attributes:

Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with technical members of interdisciplinary teams. Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, oral, and presentation communication skills are essential.
