Exciting Opportunity for Payroll Expertise

We are looking for a skilled Payroll Assistant to join our team in Devon. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional payroll services to our clients, including processing payrolls, managing records, and resolving client queries.

About Our Client:

Our client is a renowned accountancy firm committed to supporting small businesses in their growth journey. They offer a comprehensive benefits package, including company pension and private medical insurance, alongside a competitive salary of up to £28,000 per year.

Key Job Duties:

  1. Deliver high-quality payroll services to clients, ensuring timely and accurate payments
  2. Maintain accurate payroll records and update employee data as needed
  3. Provide expert support to clients and employees regarding payroll-related matters
  4. Manage year-end payroll processes, including P60s and P11Ds, for multiple clients
  5. Conduct CIS returns and Pension reporting for select clients
  6. Stay abreast of evolving payroll regulations and best practices

Essential Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in payroll administration, preferably in-house or outsourced
  • Thorough knowledge of HMRC rules and regulations on tax, NIC, and statutory payments
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time permanent position requiring 37.5 hours of work per week, typically between 9am and 5pm Monday through Friday.
