Job Title: Financial Planning and Reporting Analyst

At Halfords, we're looking for a talented Financial Planning and Reporting Analyst to join our Finance team. As a key member of our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering financial reporting, insight, and analysis to drive business decisions.

About the Role:

As a Financial Planning Analyst, you'll be responsible for utilizing our systems to provide accurate, data-driven information and KPIs on our sales and financial performance. You'll analyze financial data across the group to inform business decisions and help drive growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain financial models and reports using Power BI, Databricks, and Excel
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement best practices for data management, security, and governance
  • Work closely with the FP&A manager to develop and transform the financial planning and reporting environment
  • Provide support to the wider team and contribute to training programs to upskill stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient understanding of finance and accounting principles
  • Basic understanding of data and reporting
  • Ability to work with large data sets and maintain attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Databricks
