Join Halfords Group PLC as a Financial Analyst and contribute to the success of our dynamic team.
Job Purpose:The Financial Analyst will support the Financial Control and Reporting team in providing robust process control around balance sheet reconciliations for all Group function entities. This role will bridge across teams, including Financial Control and Reporting, Internal Audit, and External Audits.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations for allocated accounts and investigate and resolve reconciling items, particularly Payroll and Cash & Banking.
- Identify early areas of concern and liaise with the Group Financial Reporting Manager to determine and action the appropriate resolution.
- Assist with clear commentary on reconciling items for monthly review packs to support the Financial reporting and FP&A team.
- Support audit queries and preparation of required audit analysis both internal and external.
- Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA/AAT or QBE.
- Team player with experience of working in a Shared Service Centre (SSC) an advantage.
- Experience of working in a large complex business.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Experience of SAP desirable.
- Experience of month-end process.
- Good understanding of relevant IFRS's and fundamental accounting principles.
- Ability to manage large data sets.
