Job Title: Financial Planning and Data Analyst

Join Halfords Group plc, a leading consumer and B2B services-focused business, as a Financial Planning and Data Analyst. This exciting role will play a crucial part in the company's strategy to Inspire and Support a Lifetime of motoring and cycling.

About the Role:

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team is responsible for delivering financial reporting, insight, and analysis to drive decision making across the Group. As a Financial Planning and Data Analyst, you will utilize the company's systems to provide accurate, data-based information and KPIs on the company's sales and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze financial information across the group to assist in making well-informed decisions.
  • Develop and transform the financial planning and reporting environment.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement best practices for data management, security, and governance.
  • Work on projects to enhance reporting solutions and systems, contribute to training programs to upskill stakeholders, and drive process improvements to streamline reporting processes and improve data quality.
Requirements:
  • Curious attitude and confident self-starter, with desire to continuously develop self and drive business forward.
  • Comfortable with large quantities of data, financial modeling, and analysis of complex data to inform commercial decision making.
  • Absolute commitment to quality with a high attention to detail.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to progress and succeed within the business.
  • Strong computer skills:
    • Microsoft Excel (essential)
    • Microsoft Power BI (desirable)
    • SAP (desirable)
    • Databricks (desirable)
  • Part Qualified studying towards either CIMA/ACCA/ACA
