At Newmedica, we are committed to delivering exceptional NHS ophthalmology services. As a Theatre Scrub Practitioner, you will play a vital role in our theatre teams, providing competent scrub services and supporting surgeons during daily procedures.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses or Operating Department Practitioners to join our brand-new site in Hertfordshire, due to open soon.

As a key member of our theatre team, you will provide efficient and effective scrub services, anticipating potential problems and resolving them. You will also ensure high standards of patient safety, clinical compliance, and hygiene levels.

To succeed in this role, you must be a fully qualified practitioner with current registration with the NMC or HCPC.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality scrub services in theatre, including medicine management and audit duties
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Manage clinical waste and implement correct disposal procedures

You will work in fast-paced, high-volume theatre settings, supporting surgeons during procedures and ensuring patient care is prioritized.
