Job Title: Fire Safety and Health Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety and Health Manager to join our team. As a Fire Safety and Health Manager, you will be responsible for providing effective guidance and support to our site delivery construction teams on a variety of construction contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide health, safety, and environmental support and guidance to our site team to ensure a safe working environment without risk to health, safety, or harm to the environment.
  2. Conduct regular HSE site tours and inspections to ensure personnel are working in accordance with the Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments.
  3. Conduct incident investigations and associated reports, working in close collaboration with our SHE team to ensure set HSE standards and goals are met.
  4. Conduct Site Inductions, maintain the Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan, closely support the HSE Administrator, and review and maintain general project HSE documentation.
  5. Compile and circulate topical toolbox talks and health, safety, and environmental alerts, and produce monthly HSE reports for the Company Health & Safety Manager.
  6. Establish and maintain a team programme of documented health & safety inspections and site tours, ensuring engagement at all levels.

About You:

We are looking for a candidate with experience in the delivery of Health & Safety services with a background in the construction/building industry. You should hold a NEBOSH General, Construction Certificate or above qualification and have a strong understanding of the CDM regulations.

Requirements:

  • Experience in reviewing site health, safety, and environmental documentation, alongside excellent working knowledge and understanding of current Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Auditing & Inspection skills.
  • Experience in writing and reviewing health, safety, and environmental procedures, with sound knowledge of current HSE Legislation.
  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety.
  • IEMA or NEBOSH environmental qualification.
  • Valid CSCS card holder.
  • Full UK driving licence.
