Security Officer

Securitas Security Services is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team in Slough. This full-time position offers a 30 hour contract with overtime available up to 6 shifts per week within Data centres in Slough, Berkshire. As a Security Officer, you will provide a comprehensive and dynamic security role, creating a secure environment for our clients.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the security of the site, conducting patrols, and operating the control room/gatehouse and reception systems. You will also provide a visible and proactive security presence for all on-site employees and visitors.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong commitment to security, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also need to be able to maintain all logbooks and records, ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion, and conduct effective handover procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the security of the site, conducting regular patrols and responding to any security incidents
- Operate the control room/gatehouse and reception systems, ensuring that all visitors and employees are properly screened and cleared
- Provide a visible and proactive security presence for all on-site employees and visitors, ensuring that they feel safe and secure
- Maintain all logbooks and records, ensuring that all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and that effective handover procedures are followed
- Respond to crisis and emergency situations, using your skills and training to resolve the situation effectively
- SIA licence
- Driving Licence
- Data Centre site experience preferred but not essential
- Able to work days and nights, 12 hour shifts with plenty of overtime available
- Can work up to 6 shifts a week
- 5 year employment or education history
- Valid right to work documents
