Salary and Benefits

The hourly rate for this position is £-£ per hour, depending on experience, plus a % shift allowance. Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welding Equipment Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining resistance welding machines to produce high-quality welds on a variety of materials. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, adjust, and operate resistance welding equipment.
  • Perform regular machine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine welding requirements.
  • Inspect welded joints for conformance to specifications using visual and mechanical inspection techniques.
  • Monitor the welding process to ensure consistent quality and make necessary adjustments to machines.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize welding processes.
  • Maintain detailed records of machine settings, maintenance logs, and production output.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience with resistance welding techniques, especially in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair welding equipment.
  • Familiarity with various welding standards and inspection techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements

The successful candidate must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to noise, heat, and metal particulates.
