Senior Physiotherapist

Active Care Group is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Hunters Moor, a 42-bed Level 2 neurorehabilitation setting in Birmingham.
We are committed to providing high-quality care and rehabilitation services to our patients, and we are looking for a skilled Physiotherapist to help us achieve this goal.
The successful candidate will have experience working with people with neurological conditions and will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the long-term impact on individuals, their families, and carers.
The role will involve working closely with our multidisciplinary team, including Speech and Language Therapists, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Therapy Technicians, and more, to provide comprehensive care and rehabilitation services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Keeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights
- Ensuring the provision of a high-quality physiotherapy service and its place within the multidisciplinary team
- Independently completing specialist assessments of complex neurological patients
- Formulating individualised problem lists, treatment plans, and goals
- Prescribing 24-hour postural management programs, utilising specialist seating, positioning, and splints
- Assessing for and managing increased tone/spasticity
- Providing supervision to therapy assistants and student physiotherapists
- Participating in teaching and education of relatives and MDT colleagues
- Actively participating and feeding back in MDT meetings
- Writing comprehensive and detailed review reports for patients, commissioners, and families
- Promoting MDT working
Requirements:
- HCPC registration
- Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) Membership is desirable
- Excellent clinical knowledge and experience of working with people with neurological conditions and demonstrating an understanding of the long-term impact on individuals, their families, and carers
- 2 years' post-graduate experience
- Previous experience as a Senior/Band 6 physiotherapist
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of professional standards from both the HCPC and CSP
- Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice and ability to implement in clinical practice
- Knowledge of current Health Policies both local and national in Health, Social Care
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
