Job Description:

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Interim FP&A Analyst for a 3-month interim assignment with our client in Tunbridge Wells. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning and analysis, with the ability to provide insightful financial data that will influence the company's strategic decisions.

FP&A Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and guide long-term business planning.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, forecast performance, and provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and understand business drivers.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting packages.
  • Analyse past results, perform variance analysis, and identify areas for performance improvement.
  • Assist with the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close process as it relates to FP&A activities.
  • Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and analyses as required.

FP&A Analyst Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a financial planning and analysis role.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and financial modeling techniques.
  • High proficiency in Excel and financial software applications.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritise workload.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA or professional certification (e.g., CFA, ACCA, CIMA) is a plus.
