We are currently looking for a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Theatres team at St. Michaels Hospital in Bristol.

This role involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of our theatre services.

As an Operating Department Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting our multidisciplinary team, working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain expertise in all areas of theatre practice, including scrub, recovery, and anaesthetics.
  • Contribute to the safe and efficient management of operating theatres, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide exceptional patient care, adhering to Trust policies and guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and new technologies.

Person Specification: Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse level 8 or C or C+G 752/ NVQ level 3 Operating Department Practitioner/Dip HE in Operating Room Practice.
  • Training qualification or equivalent experience.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven experience in theatre environments, preferably in a similar role.

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems and other relevant software.

Salary: £29,970 - £36,483 per annum pro rata, based on 37.5 hours a week.
