About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operating Department Practitioner to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. The role is based in the Children's Theatres Department, where we cover a range of specialties including neurosurgery, scoliosis, cardiac, cardiac catheter, interventional radiology, oncology, general, urology, ear, nose and throat, orthopaedics, renal, plastics, burns, dental, maxillofacial, laparoscopic, and endoscopy.

The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of clinical nursing practice within a hospital environment and a strong interest in the clinical area. They will also have experience of teaching, taking charge, and demonstrating competence in clinical skills relevant to the clinical area.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide high-quality patient care as part of the theatre team
  • To work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • To maintain accurate records and contribute to the development of policies and procedures

We offer a competitive salary package, which includes a basic salary of £29,970 - £36,483 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to this, you will receive a range of benefits, including access to training and development opportunities, a comprehensive induction programme, and a generous holiday allowance.
