About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Obesity Service Manager to lead our multi-disciplinary Tier 3 specialist Weight Management Service in Plymouth. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure the safe and effective delivery of our service to the population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a complex and rapidly changing service with a focus on service redesign.
  • Work in close partnership with the multidisciplinary team to drive improvement, embed change, and standardise practice based on local requirements, national guidelines, and clinical best practice.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the service is coordinated and delivered effectively.
  • Provide professional leadership to all staff and ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Highly specialist expertise and knowledge of weight management/obesity/eating disorders developed to MSc level or equivalent.
  • Experience of working within multi-disciplinary teams and supervising/line managing junior and senior staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to a range of audiences.
  • Ability to negotiate and explain complex case-related information about obesity to a range of audiences.
  • Full and valid driving licence and ability to travel across Devon.
