A Unique Opportunity for an English Teaching Expert
We are seeking an exceptional English Teacher to join our dynamic team at Heath Farm College, an independent specialist sixth form college catering to young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the English curriculum for Year 10 and Year 11, delivering highly effective teaching and learning to KS4 students, and ensuring that it is appropriate, relevant, and meets statutory requirements.

Responsibilities will include:
- Leading on English teaching for Year 10 and Year 11
- Teaching any student at Heath Farm College in KS4
- Planning and delivering schemes of work for students in your sessions that meet statutory requirements
- Responsibility for the assessment, recording, and reporting of all students in your sessions
- Maintaining student learner profiles, records, and portfolios of work
- Modeling lifelong learning and contributing to the college's professional development

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is up to £47,250.00 per annum, depending on experience, and includes a range of benefits, including life assurance, a pension scheme, and access to a wide range of mental health support services.
Location and Working Hours
The role is based at Heath Farm College, Maidstone, ME16 0ER, and the working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Contract Type
The contract type is permanent, term-time only, and the role is open to UK applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship.
