We are currently seeking a seasoned professional to take on the role of Associate Director, leading our infrastructure projects in the Scotland region. With over 110 offices worldwide, we deliver ambitious and highly technical projects for major global clients.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled project manager to lead and coordinate project activities, ensuring good communication and adherence to governance processes. You will drive exceptional delivery, health & safety, commercial, risk management, and quality performance on infrastructure projects throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management Discipline
    • Establish overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical, and performance parameters.
    • Identify and ensure that appropriate line managers are aware of quality, safety, health, and environment issues.
    • Establish effective project governance, processes, and systems to be utilised throughout the project.
    • Project planning, including producing the detailed project plan.
    • Leading and facilitating cross-functional project teams.
    • Monitoring and applying performance management techniques.
    • Monitoring and advising on project finances.
    • Managing project information flow between teams and clients through regular meetings and written communications.
    • Preparing formal project progress reports.
    • Taking a leading role in interfacing with clients and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Internal Management Accountabilities
    • Knowledge management - Ensuring key information and learning generated from each project is input into Turner & Townsend's internal database.
    • Financial management - Ensuring prompt client invoicing and utilising FMS to monitor a project's financial status.

The ideal candidate will have a Nec accredited Project Manager certification, a degree in a relevant discipline (Civil Engineering/Construction), and experience working on major highways projects.
