We produce our drinks in-house at our Corby factory, using wonky fruit and veg that would otherwise be discarded. Our focus on sustainability includes working with local farmers, converting organic waste into biofuels, and using bottles made from recycled materials.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Health and Safety Officer to join our team, reporting to the Operations Manager. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all daily activities are conducted safely and in compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health and Safety Standards
    • Monitor and assess health and safety standards across the site, ensuring all practices align with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Implement PUWER, CoSHH, and Fire regulations.
  • Risk Management
    • Conduct risk assessments, COSHH, DSE, manual handling assessments, and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.
  • Training and Development
    • Provide guidance and training to staff on health and safety best practices, including the use of machinery, emergency procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Incident Investigation
    • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, ensuring thorough reporting and analysis to prevent future occurrences.
  • Record Keeping
    • Maintain accurate records of safety checks, incidents, and training activities in compliance with legal requirements.

Requirements

  • Qualifications
    • NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably within the manufacturing or food production industry.
  • Skills
    • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, risk management, and best practices.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
    • Proficient in using MS Office Suite and other relevant software for reporting and documentation.
