Your Role: Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Support Assistant. This role will involve working closely with young pupils who require additional support due to special educational needs (SEN) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

About the Job

As a Support Assistant, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one support to pupils, helping them to overcome their learning barriers and achieve their full potential.

You will work alongside experienced teachers and other support staff to develop tailored support plans that cater to the unique needs of each pupil.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Providing individualized support to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
  2. Developing and implementing support plans to meet the needs of each pupil
  3. Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive support network
  4. Using initiative and creativity to adapt activities and resources to meet the diverse needs of pupils
  5. Maintaining accurate records and reporting on pupil progress

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Psychology or related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with children with SEN and SEMH needs
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
