We are seeking a highly skilled Senior VAT Manager to join our team at Project People. As a key member of our tax department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our VAT returns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and submit quarterly VAT returns to HMRC, ensuring timely submission and accuracy.
- Review VAT balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies, taking appropriate action as needed.
- Manage VAT journals and resolve queries from the business.
- Lead VAT and business projects, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
- Provide support to the Head of Tax on VAT-related matters, including advising on the impact of new initiatives.
Requirements:
- Qualified CTA/ACA or equivalent.
- At least 6 years of VAT compliance experience.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a drive for excellence.
Nice to Have:
- Employment tax knowledge and experience.
- Corporation tax knowledge.
Project People is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
