This role is all about leading and managing a children's home in line with the organisation's ethos, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care and outcomes.

As the Residential Children's Home Manager, you'll be rewarded with a competitive annual salary of £50,000 - £55,000. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people, and to lead a dedicated team in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leading and managing the children's home, ensuring compliance with statutory and organisational policies and procedures.
  2. Developing constructive relationships within the wider community to promote positive outcomes for the children and young people in care.
  3. Ensuring staff have the necessary skills, experience, and qualifications to meet the needs of each child or young person.
  4. Producing monitoring reports, statistical data, and evaluations in line with organisational policies and procedures.
  5. Ensuring each child or young person has individual care and care planning tailored to their specific needs and requirements.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the Residential Children's Home Manager role should have:

  1. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services or equivalent.
  2. 3 years' experience working with children in the last 5 years and at least 1 year at senior level.
  3. Experience in supervision or management.
  4. Knowledge of Children's Home Regulations and Quality Standards 2015, Single Social Care Inspection Framework (SSCIF), Children Act 1989, and related acts.
