Customer Service Representative

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Customer Service Representative to join our Hiscox team. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for delivering world-class customer service to our policyholders, brokers, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a high volume of telephone calls from customers, brokers, and other stakeholders.
- Take claim notifications over the phone and progress claims in the most appropriate manner.
- Review and confirm policy coverage positions.
- Validate, negotiate, and settle claims fairly and proactively.
- Meet and exceed pre-defined SLAs/targets.
- Demonstrate excellent file handling and claims management skills.
- Work unsupervised and show initiative in claims handling approach.
- Promote and deliver a continuous improvement culture within the UK Property Claims team.
Requirements
- An excellent telephone manner.
- Experience within a customer-centric environment.
- Team player, able to collaborate when volumes are high without compromising service.
- Calm and works well under pressure.
- Ability to evidence strong organisational and time management skills.
- Outstanding communication skills – face-to-face, written, and telephone.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to quickly establish credibility and long-lasting relationships.
- Hybrid working style with a minimum of 2 days a week in the office and additional days for training and team meetings as required.
