Special Educational Needs Assistant

About the Role: As a Special Educational Needs Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students aged 3-19 in a specialist setting that provides holistic support. You'll work closely with both verbal and non-verbal autistic learners, helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with varying needs, both in and out of the classroom.
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver a well-rounded educational experience.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
Salary Information: £90-£115 per day DOE
The Ideal Candidate:
- A minimum of two years of experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a specialist setting, or equivalent experience in care or as a support worker.
- Experience working with autistic learners (verbal and non-verbal) is preferred but not essential.
- A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine desire to support and inspire students.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
