About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mall Cleaner to join our team at ABM UK. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of our mall premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance:
    • Ensure all common areas, corridors, and entrances are clean and free of debris.
    • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors.
    • Dust furniture and fixtures in common areas.
    • Empty trash bins and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
    • Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors.
    • Maintain cleanliness of elevators and escalators.
    • Spot clean walls, doors, and other surfaces as necessary.
    • Respond promptly to spills, stains, or any urgent cleaning needs.
  • Waste Management:
    • Empty waste containers regularly and dispose of trash in designated areas.
    • Ensure proper separation and disposal of recyclable materials.
  • Safety and Hygiene:
    • Use cleaning supplies and equipment safely and in accordance with company guidelines.
    • Follow all health and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • Report any maintenance or safety issues to the management team.
  • Customer Service:
    • Assist mall visitors with directions or information when necessary.
    • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor with the public.
  • Special Projects:
    • Participate in periodic deep cleaning activities.
    • Assist with set-up and cleanup during special events or promotions.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial services preferred.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment (Cloths, mops, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of cleaning products and their safe usage.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Good physical condition: ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Work Environment
  • Requires working early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the mall's operating hours.
  • Indoor and outdoor work, depending on mall layout.
