ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

:
  • Collaborate with the Financial Controller to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the hotel, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to maintain financial control and ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to the hotel's management and ownership, providing accurate and timely financial information.
  • Work closely with the management team to prepare the annual budget and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with the hotel's strategic objectives.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates to department heads and management, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain internal control procedures to safeguard the hotel's assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting, conducting regular audits to identify and rectify discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations, coordinating with external auditors for tax filings and maintaining accurate records.
  • Review invoices and contracts for accuracy and compliance with hotel policies, ensuring timely and cost-effective financial management.
  • Support the Financial Controller in coordinating with external auditors to facilitate annual financial audits, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field is preferred, along with professional certification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in hotel accounting, with a strong understanding of financial management tools and software.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • A commitment to accuracy and attention to detail, with a strong focus on maintaining financial control and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
